Board turns down golf course offer

After a closed
session that lasted almost two hours, the Wake Forest Town Board returned to
the meeting room shortly after 11 o’clock Tuesday night and Mayor Vivian Jones
announced they had decided not to accept owner Joel Young’s offer for the town
to purchase the Wake Forest Golf and Country Club for $2.9 million.
