 2nd Renaissance Ball
planned for Feb. 17

Last year’s was such a success, they had to do it again. The second Renaissance Ball will be held Saturday, Feb. 17, in the Event Gallery at The Cotton Company.

The black and white affair hosted by the Downtown Revitalization Corporation and the Wake Forest Junior Women’s Club will benefit the Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club. CMI Jewelry Showroom is the sponsor.

The art department at the Boys & Girls Club is designing and producing the decorations.

“The ball’s theme this year is Mardi Gras Unmasked!, and it will bring a night of fine food, dancing and music to the heart of downtown Wake Forest,” Tina Archer, the downtown manager, said.

“Our goal is to create a signature social event for Wake Forest that with each year becomes one of the social season’s highlights.”

Deborah Brown, a local dance instructor, will give free swing lessons during the first hour. The event begins at 7 p.m.

There will also be a photographer taking photos as keepsakes.

The tickets are $55 per person and available at the Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce, The Cotton Company, Skipper’s Spirits and Good Eats, the DRC office in the Hale Building, by calling 441-9551 or going to www.wakeforestdowntown.com.
