Wake
Forest Baptist Church is working with the 82nd Airborne Division at
Fort Bragg to provide a Christmas tree for those families whose spouses are
serving in the Persian Gulf.
Church
leaders realized the average Christmas tree would cost about a quarter of a
private’s weekly pay, a large financial burden for soldiers.
The
church has decided to buy the trees in bulk and make them available for
adoption by anyone who would like to provide a tree for a military family this
Christmas.
Wake
Forest Baptist will deliver the trees to Fort Bragg after Thanksgiving.
If
you want to join in this ministry, send a check for $55 to Wake Forest Baptist
Church, Attn: Soldier Family Christmas Project, at 118 East South Avenue, Wake
Forest, NC 27587.
Send
any questions about the ministry to Les Burleson at lburleson@nc.rr.com.
