The Wake Forest American Legion Post
187 is continuing to raise funds to help families who live at the Durham Ronald
McDonald House while their children are treated at Duke Hospital.
The post collects the pull tabs from
aluminum cans and other containers and exchanges them for money that allows the
families to stay at the house without charge.
People can deposit the pull tabs in
the gray mailbox in front of the Legion building at 318 E. Owen Ave. in front
of the Wake Forest Police Department. When the Legion moves into its future
home on East Holding Avenue the mailbox will be moved.
