Museum groundbreaking
Sunday, Oct. 14

As part of its annual meeting, the Wake Forest College Birthplace Society will break turn the first shovels of dirt for the long-awaited museum annex building.

The meeting and ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, at the Calvin Jones House on North Main Street.

The annex will house exhibits about both Wake Forest College and the town of Wake Forest and will have meeting and office space. The separate bathroom building will be built at the same time.

Executive Director Ed Morris said they plan to hold the meeting under a tent on the lawn, but it will be shifted to Wake Forest Baptist Church in the event of rain.
