Monday,
Oct. 8, the students from N.C. State’s Downtown Design Studios will show
Northeast area residents and interested people how they visualize the
renovation of the DuBois campus.
Their
plans will be drawn from the ideas the participants at two workshops in
September presented, everything from sidewalks to indoor swimming pools to
woodworking shops to small businesses.
The
Monday meeting has two parts. Beginning at 5 p.m. Dr. Celen Pasalar, the
studio’s director, and Dr. Kofi Boone, an assistant professor, will update the
members of the DuBois Alumni Association about the status of the year-long
project and what to look for in coming months.
The
general public meeting will begin at 7 p.m. with a general overview of the
project. People will have a chance to talk to the students about their plans.
