Rob Bridges, one of seven candidates for
three seats on the Wake Forest Town
Board, has hired Tresa Jalot, the former
deputy director at the Wake Forest
Chamber of Commerce as his campaign
director.
“I couldn’t be more pleased
to have such a talented and dedicated
person working on my campaign,” said
Bridges. “Tresa’s organizational skills
and wealth of community knowledge are
true assets. She grew up here, she
worked here and she really cares about
the future of Wake Forest.”
Jalot, a graduate of Wake
Forest-Rolesville High School and the
University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill, began her career as a newscaster
at WRAL-TV. She has also been the
membership and marketing director at
Heritage Golf Club.
Bridges was a planning board
member from 1995 to 2001, when he was
elected a town commissioner. He lost a
re-election bid in 2005. He has a design
business in Raleigh.
Bridges says he has been
paying close attention to residents’
concerns since then and plans to use his
renewed perspective to preserve parks
and green space and to revitalize the
downtown area and the northeast
quadrant.
