At the recent annual Wake Forest Chamber
of Commerce banquet, a number of members
were honored and the late H.L. Miller, a
founder and longtime board member, was
named to the Wake Forest Chamber Hall of
Fame.
The honored members were:

Andres Quintana of In Town Optical
named as New Member of the Year.

VisionScapes was named the Small
Business of the Year.

Cindy Hammond of Qualified Staffing
Services was named Ambassador of the
Year.

Annette Roberson of Embarq was named
Volunteer of the Year.

The H.L. Miller Award for Director
of the Year was presented to David
Williams Sr., the outgoing board
chairman.
Also, Jodi Ann LaFreniere is
now in the South White Street chamber
office fulltime as the new executive
director. She was the former head of the
Morrisville chamber.
She was at last month’s
Business After Hours meeting members,
and this month she will announce the
teacher awards and raffle winners at
Business After Hours.
The event, which will be
Thursday, July 19, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
has had a change of address. Members
should receive cards this week
announcing it will be held at the Embarq
Retail Store in the Capital Plaza
Shopping Center near Home Depot and
Staples. |
