begins Monday

If you buy your water from the City of Raleigh and use a sprinkler of any kind to water your lawn or plants, you need to change your watering schedule over the weekend or face fines, even termination of your water service.

Crash course in sales

The Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a sales workshop, “The Next Level: Selling to Tough Customers,” by Tim Dannelly on Tuesday, July 17.
The cost is $35 for member, $50 for non-members for the short seminar that will be held at Brigs Restaurant on Wake Union Church Road from 8 to 10:30 a.m.

Town schedule
for the 4th

All Wake Forest town offices – as well as county, state and federal offices – will be closed Wednesday, July 4, for Independence Day, but all other town services except yard waste operate as usual.
Wake Forest police officers will work regular shifts, and Republic will collect garbage and recycling on the normal schedule.
Yard waste will be collected as usual on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday’s collections will be made on Thursday, and Thursday’s and Friday’s regular collections will be made on Friday.
Town offices will reopen Thursday, July 5, at 8 a.m.

Some Falls Lake

Enjoy a picnic
at the market

Just in time for the Fourth of July, the vendors at the Wake Forest Farmers’ Market are having a picnic Saturday and inviting you to sample the goodies.
On June 30 from 10 a.m. to noon there will be savory treats at the booths, all made from fresh market ingredients. The vendors will even share their recipes.
