 Regional center, water
conservation on agenda

Ross Yeager, who will be the director for the Northern Wake Regional Center on East Holding Avenue, will speak to the Wake Forest Town Board Tuesday night about the plans for the center. It will offer a number of county and state services, including a permanent station for sheriff’s deputies, and Yeager plans forums and interest groups to learn what area residents want and/or need.

Town staff will present a number of water conservation measures the town could implement. Water conservation has been an ongoing topic since early last year.

The commissioners and mayor will be meeting in a work session at which no action is taken, although they often decide by consensus to pursue a project or course of action. The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. in town hall.

They will also be given the proposed Capital Improvements Plan for the next fiscal year and will schedule work sessions to discuss it.
