Dr. Fred Nelson and Dr. Russ Redd at
Chiropractic Partners on Ligon Mill Road
will hold their annual fund-raiser for
the Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club the
week of March 19-23.
The two are offering free
adjustments to existing patients, and
new patients will receive free
consultations, exams, even X-rays if
necessary. The catch if a worthwhile
objective can have one is a suggested
donation of $15 sent directly to the
club. Make those checks out to the Wake
Forest Boys & Girls Club and send them
to the club at 325 S. Wingate St.

Local supporters of the Wake
Forest Boys & Girls Club and there are
many are urged to purchase tickets now
for the Steak & Steak Dinner Tuesday,
March 27.
The keynote speaker will be
Dewayne Washington, who played football
at Northern Durham High School and N.C.
State and was then drafted by the
Minnesota Vikings.
Washington was a defensive
back in the NFL for 13 years with the
Vikings, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the
Kansas City Chiefs.
He is back in the Durham
area, club director Hugh McLean said,
and interested in working with youth in
the area because he attended the Durham
Boys & Girls Club.
Its a cool event, McLean
said of the dinner, because Washington
will be the only adult speaker. Instead,
the featured speakers will be the young
people, the club members, who will
describe seven or eight of the programs.
The dinner will begin at 6
p.m. at the club at 325 S. Wingate St.
Tickets are $15 for an individual, $25
for a couple. Checks should be made
payable to the club. |
