 Kiwanis offers a fishy family
fund-raiser: lobster bingo

The entire family is invited to a fish-based fund-raiser the Wake Forest Kiwanis Club will sponsor Saturday, March 4, at The Factory.

Called Lobster Bingo, admission is free, but you have to buy the bingo cards: three for $1 or 50 cents for one. Free snacks and drinks will be on hand during the 40 games with prizes for each game.

The grand prize will include a large basket of live lobsters, shrimp, fresh fish, a gift card to a seafood restaurant, a seafood pot, lobster bibs, a seafood cookbook, seafood seasonings and other accompaniments to a seafood meal.

The fun begins at 6:30 and lasts until 9:30.

As an added attraction, there will also be a silent auction.

The money raised will be used by the Kiwanis Club members for their projects that benefit Wake Forest children. Those include the Key Club at Wake Forest-Rolesville High School for teens, Builders Clubs, Terrific Kids, an annual scholarship for a graduating senior at WF-R High, and cash awards to teachers and teacher assistants at Wake Forest schools.
