There are only two months left before
the Wake Forest Christmas Parade, which
will be Saturday, Dec. 9, this year, and
the Downtown Revitalization Corporation
has begun accepting entries.
Tina Archer, the new
executive director of the Downtown
Revitalization Corporation, which
sponsors the parade, said there are
several ways to get entry forms and
parade guidelines for floats and general
entries. They are available at the DRC
office at 137 S. White St. or at the
Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce at 350
S. White St. You can also find them at
http://www.wakeforestdowntown.com.
The entry forms must be returned to the
DRC office by Nov. 10. The telephone
there is 570-1372.
Archer said her family moved
to Wake Forest from Michigan in
November, and the Christmas Parade was
their introduction to the town. They
loved it.
There was a record number of
entries last year, and a huge crowd
lined the downtown streets to watch and
applaud. The conclusion: arrive early to
get a good space near a curb. |
