The
Wake Forest Comprehensive Planning
Committee made up of two town
commissioners and two planning board
members will meet Tuesday, Oct. 17, at
7:30 p.m. to hear a request for a water
allocation of 50 homes per year for a
new subdivision, Bishop’s Landing.
The town board recently set
the standard water allocation for new
projects at 40 homes per year per
subdivision.
There was no information in
the meeting minutes about the owners or
developers.
The request says the
proposed development would be on 95
acres located north of Wait Avenue and
east of the Smith Creek Reservoir,
adjacent to Bishop’s Grant subdivision.
The plan calls for
single-family homes with R-10 zoning
(minimum lot size of 10,000 square
feet), 249 homes in all with 89 to be
built in the first phase.
It would connect to Bishop’s
Grant and out to Wait Avenue.
The developers are
estimating 19 acres of open space in
stream buffers, a pond and watershed
areas. Part of the property is within
the watershed for the reservoir.
The water use is estimated
at 62,250 gallons per day (249 units X
250 gallons per day per unit).
The committee members are
Commissioners David Camacho, the
chairman, and Frank Drake with planning
board members Bob Hill and Kim Parker.
The meeting is open to the
public. |
