The
Wake Forest Kiwanis Club is selling
advance tickets to a performance of Ira
David Wood’s “A Christmas Carol” on
Thursday, Dec. 7, at Raleigh Memorial
Auditorium.
Prices range from $14 in the
upper balcony to $75 in the producer’s
circle. For details, either see a

Peter Kima, the president, at 609-6777.
Orders must be received by Oct. 16.
The Kiwanis Club uses the
money from the sale for its many
projects for youth and families.

The Wake Forest Civitan Club
is selling bags of shelled whole pecans
at $7 a bag. They will be available the
first week in November just in time for
holiday baking. Also the club is selling
Paula Deen’s Spice and More gift sets
for the holidays or any gift-giving
occasion. The set includes five large
containers of spices, a collectible bag
filled with her biscuit mix and recipes
and cards from her Food Network show.
The cost is $25
