The weekend of Oct. 7 and 8 will again
prove that the Wake Forest area has
become a center for art and artists.
This twelfth annual Wake
Forest Area Artists’ Studio Tour
features the work of 20 artists who you
can visit in their studios, watch them
create art and purchase it.
The free event actually
begins Friday, Oct. 6, with an artists’
reception at the Sunflower Studio and
Gallery at 214 E Jones Ave. Eight of the
artists will also use Sunflower as their
studios for the weekend tour.
The art ranges from painting
in all styles to woodcarving, jewelry,
pottery and sculpture, photography and
felt wall hangings.
The studio hours are 9 a.m.
to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, and 1 to 5
p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8.
