Do you have an idea about who the next
superintendent of Wake
certain qualifications?
You can be heard by filling
out a survey that you will find on the
web at
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=702021643661.
The Wake Forest Area Chamber of
Commerce’s education taskforce is asking
for the input. You can also find the
survey at the school system’s web site
at
http://www.wcpss.net.
On the education front, the
chamber still needs a few more sponsors
for its Chamber Chalice Awards which are
given to outstanding teachers in local
schools during the monthly Business
After Hours. The cost is $100, and two
sponsors are needed for each school,
with the teachers receiving the entire
$200. Call or e-mail Tresa Jalot,
tresa@wakeforestchamber.org, if you
want to participate.
The chamber and Rex
Healthcare are sponsoring A Heartfelt
Salute to Women in Business Thursday,
Feb. 9, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at TPC
Wakefield. The cost is $25. Call or
e-mail Tresa if you plan to attend.
The chamber’s biggest
fund-raiser, the March Madness Reverse
Raffle, is also a windfall for the lucky
winner, who will get $10,000.
The $100 tickets are now on
sale at the chamber office for the March
2 event at the Wake Forest Civic Center.
Each ticket entitles two people to
attend the party, which will be catered
by Burkenstocks.
For information about the
raffle and how to be a sponsor, call
Tresa at the chamber. |
