Bill
McKenney has been elected the new
president of the Wake Forest Civitan
Club and will take office Oct. 1.
The club is selling bags of
shelled whole pecans at $7 a bag. They
will be available the first week in
November just in time for holiday
baking. To order them, call Betty

The money from the sale
helps the club fund its community
projects.

The Wake Forest Kiwanis Club
is selling advance tickets to a
performance of Ira David Wood’s “A
Christmas Carol” on Thursday, Dec. 7, at
Raleigh Memorial Auditorium.
Prices range from $14 in the
upper balcony to $75 in the producer’s
circle. For details, either see a

Orders must be received by Oct. 16.
The Kiwanis Club uses the
money from the sale for its many
