 Grill up a storm
at the Farmers’ Market

Chef Thom Tomlinson, who has been demonstrating a variety of cooking skills and tasty dishes at the Wake Forest Farmers’ Market, will offer a free class about the art of grilling Saturday.

From 8:30 a.m. until noon, you can learn how to grill breakfast quesadillas, roasted salsas and soups, chicken paillards, fresh vegetables and meat. This is a hands-on class with full stomach contact: You get to eat what you grill.

B&W Hardware at 232 S. White St., just down the way from the market in the gazebo parking lot, is providing the grill for the class and offering a discount that day on grills and grill supplies for class attendees.

You can learn more about Chef Thom at www.chefthom.com.

The market itself will be filled with local farmers and vendors offering vegetables, meats, eggs, garlic, jams and jellies, flowers, plants, herbal products and pottery.
