Applications must be received by Wednesday, July 26. The town board will interview the candidates at its work session on Aug. 1, which begins at 5:30 p.m.

You must apply by Wednesday, July 26, and the town board will interview the candidates at its work session on Aug. 1, which begins at 5:30 p.m. The appointments will be made at the board’s regular meeting Aug. 15.

The Human Relations Council has nine members who encourage understanding and good will between all town residents regardless of race, sex, religion, creed, nationality or economic status. Members serve three-year terms and meet the fourth Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at town hall.

The Historic Preservation Commission also has nine members whose purpose is to promote the educational, cultural and economic welfare of the Town of Wake Forest by preserving structures, sites, monuments, streets, and neighborhoods which serve as visible reminders of the history and cultural heritage of the Town. Members serve three-year terms and meet on the second Wednesday of each month at the planning office at 221 South Brooks St.
