Do you want to be leader, to play a part
in town government or community affairs?
You need to enroll in this
fall’s Leadership Wake Forest program
sponsored by the Wake Forest Chamber of
Commerce.
It is a comprehensive
program designed, as the brochure says,
to identify, cultivate and motivate
leadership resources for the town. You
will learn leadership skills, get
experience in many aspects of the
community, meet interesting people and
make friendships.
Leadership Wake Forest will
begin Saturday, Sept. 9, with an
orientation and meet between 5:30 and
8:30 p.m. on different Tuesdays and
Thursdays through Tuesday, Dec. 5, which
is graduation at the Wake Forest
Community Dinner.
During the three months, you
will learn about the history of Wake
Forest College and Southeastern Baptist
Theological Seminary, the history of the
town itself, town government, citizen
involvement, economic development, state
and county government and education.
The chamber wants
participants from all the sectors of
this community, including business,
professions and political and community
leaders.
To apply, call Darren
O’Connor at 556-1519 or
Darren@wakeforestchamber.org.
Enrollment is limited to 15 people.
Tuition is $300 for chamber members;
$350 for non-members. |
