After recently annexing three small
tracts at the Capital
Boulevard-Burlington Mills Road
intersection, Wake Forest now has to
zone them. The proposal is for highway
business zoning, similar to the current
Wake County highway district
designation.
The adjoining lots, totaling
4.75 acres, are the Citgo service
station at 2500 Burlington Mills Road,
an empty lot at 9932 Capital Boulevard,
and the Janko Import Cars sales and
service buildings at 9912 Capital
Boulevard.
The Wake Forest Town and
Planning boards will hold a public
hearing about this rezoning Tuesday,
July 11, at 7:30 p.m. in town hall.
During the later business
meeting, the planning board will
consider a master plan for 10
single-family lots which make up phase
three of the Wildflower subdivision on
the south side of Rogers Road. The lots
all face Marshall Farm Street, but the
driveways will be accessed by an alley
off Heritage View Trail. One of the lots
lies along Rogers Road, and the tenth is
next to the large traffic circle near
the Wildflower entrance.
The town board will consider
the rezonings and the master plan during
its regular meeting July 18. |
