If you are a person or a business that
likes to give without fanfare and
knowing your gift helps directly, you
might want to get on Susan Simpson’s
list.
The director for the town’s
parks and recreation programs told the
town board last week they never turn
away any child who wants to participate.
She provides the registration fee,
uniform and anything else necessary by
tapping into her list of people and
companies who have told her they are
willing to help out. There are a number
of such volunteers.
Simpson said the day after
the meeting (which was televised) she
went to lunch and someone came up to
her, said they had heard her response
and said they wanted to be on the list. |
