The food bank at the DuBois Center will
resume June 8, interim center director
George C. Jones Sr. said last week.
Jones said there is a
committee of about 10 people who are
organizing the food bank. Along with the
food distribution on Thursday, Jones
said the group might also be involved on
Friday to pick up fresh fruits and
vegetables for distribution.

Relations Council will hold a community
meeting Thursday, May 25, at 7:30 p.m.
at the Alston-Massenburg Community
Center on Taylor Street to get reactions
and opinions from neighborhood people
about the rift between the DuBois
Center, the national DuBois alumni and
former center director Bettie Murchison. |
