A WF tradition, the 4th of July
celebration, needs your help

Since 1973, people in Wake Forest have worked to produce the annual Fourth of July celebration with its fireworks and stadium show, children’s parade and events in Holding Park.

And again, chairman Rhonda Alderman is asking for volunteers to help sell tickets at the gate for the fireworks and stadium show and plan and supervise Art-in-the-Park and Games-in-the-Park.

The Wake Forest celebration is a totally volunteer effort funded each year by the receipts from last year’s stadium show, by donations and by $3,000 from the Town of Wake Forest.

If you want to be a part of a grassroots, handmade, hometown effort, you can reach Alderman at fireworklady@earthlink.net or at 556-4436.
