            There were only 31 permits for single-family homes and 15 for townhouses issued by the Wake Forest Planning Department this past month.

            That compares to 66 permits for residences in January, 102 in February and 62 in March. In December, the department issued a whopping 182 residential permits.

            The 20 percent cut in building permits the Wake Forest Town Board approved in April only affects future subdivisions, not those under construction now. It was approved as a water conservation measure.

            April’s permits follow. SFD stands for construct single-family home. The permits are listed with the type of permit, the builder/applicant, the address, the subdivision, the watershed, and the estimated cost. Homes listed with a watershed of Franklin County are not on the Wake Forest water system.
