Still time to sponsor
events at Meet in the Street

WakeMed is joining with the Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce to sponsor Meet in the Street on May 6, but there is still opportunity for local individuals and businesses to sponsor parts of the arts and crafts festival.

The deadline is Friday, March 31, for those sponsors, which include the $1,000 children’s village sponsor, the $1,000 food village sponsor, the $500 blue ribbon sponsor, the $250 red ribbon sponsor and $50-$100 festival friend. The businesses who sponsor the villages or the blue ribbon will be permitted booth space for them to promote their businesses.

It is time to select five new chamber board members. Ballots will be mailed to chamber members later this month. The candidates are Jeff Ammons, The Factory and Ammons Building Corporation; Jim Bell, Bobbitt Design Build; JoAnn Feligno, Coaching Perspective; Nancy Goodman, Campbell Oil & Gas Company; and Don Stroud, Hartsfield & Nash.

The chamber will host a lunch honoring small businesses on Tuesday, April 15, at The Factory at noon. Each small business may send two representatives to the free event, but you are asked to respond by April 20 by calling 556-1519 or e-mailing to Darren@wakeforestchamber.org.

Small businesses can also apply to be one of five sponsors. For $200, you can have a display at the luncheon, give a one-minute presentation, have two reserved seats and receive recognition in the newsletter. Talk to Darren O’Conner about this opportunity.
