Laura Jean Card
Laura Jean Card, 45, of Franklinton, died Thursday, June 3, 2010. Mrs. Card was born on July 20, 1964 in Baltimore, Maryland, and was a teacher's assistant at Opio Holy Spirit Academy in Franklinton.
he is survived by her husband of 16 years, Larry Phillip Card; children, Jessie Ann Verzi of Jacksonville, Florida, Jack Donald Spracklin, Jillian Marie Mickelson and Christopher James Bryant, all of Franklinton; father, John Primavera; nine grandchildren; sister, Lenora Allen of Franklinton; and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Jean Arrow Primavera.
Laura was a faithful, loving wife, mother and friend who devoted her life to helping and serving her family, friends, and many others with countless acts of service.

Carolyn Timberlake Bullard
Carolyn Timberlake Bullard, 80, of Charlotte, died at Carolina’s Specialty Hospital, Charlotte, on June 4, 2010.
he was born on September 2, 1929, in Youngsville, a daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Claude V. Timberlake. She graduated from Youngsville High School in 1947, attended Coker College for two years and graduated from Wake Forest University in 1951, a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. She taught English and French in high school for a few years in Stanley and Mecklenburg counties.
Mrs. Bullard had been a member of St. John’s Baptist Church since 1952, where she taught Sunday school in the children’s department for twenty years.
Graveside funeral services were held at 2:00 o’clock Monday afternoon, June 7, 2010, at Youngsville Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Layne Smith, her pastor, officiating.
Mrs. Bullard is survived by her husband of nearly 58 years, Byron L. Bullard; son, Byron L. Bullard Jr., his wife, Heather ,and grandchildren, Anna and Brandon of Columbia, S.C.; daughter, Leigh T. Bullard, and grandsons Byron and Colin Revels of Charlotte; her brother-in-law, Bob Ross; and sister-in-law, Margaret Timberlake. Also surviving are seven nieces, one nephew, and 19 great-nieces and great-nephews.
he was preceded in death by her three siblings: Capt. C.V. Timberlake Jr. USN-retired, Willard C. Timberlake, Phyllis Timberlake Ross, and a great-niece, Barbara Morgan.

Carolyn Brinkmeyer Coffey Holden
Carolyn Elizabeth Brinkmeyer Coffey Holden, 63, of 3239 Quarry Road, Wake Forest, died Thursday, June 3, 2010, at her home.
Mrs. Holden was born on September 26, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of the late Edwin Brinkmeyer and Elizabeth “Sis” Siegert Brinkmeyer. She was married to Hubert “Bill” Holden, who preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon, June 6, 2010, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Burial was in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Holden is survived by her children, Carl Coffey of Wake Forest and Wendy Coffey Dudka of Virginia Beach, Va.; step-son, Charlie Holden of Wake Forest; brothers, Kenneth Brinkmeyer and Petie Brinkmeyer, both of Maryland; sisters, Barbara Oxyer of Ohio, Pattie Bowman and Margaret White, both of Maryland; sister-in-law, Carolyn Odham of Wake Forest; grandchildren, Jason Coffey and Jamie Coffey; great-grandchildren, Madison Ray and Hunter Coffey; and longtime friend and caregiver, Steven Budleski of Wake Forest.

Mary Garrett Kulick, 69, of Wake Forest, died Thursday, June 3, 2010.
he was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Hubert and Dorothy Price Garrett, and was retired from the City of Raleigh.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 o’clock Tuesday morning, June 8, 2010, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Philip Tighe officiating. Burial was in Wake Forest Cemetery.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Lisa Bradley of Raleigh; son, David James Kulick of Louisburg; grandchildren, Lauren Karen Bradley and Lindsey Kaitlyn Bradley; son-in-law, Ron Swaim of Rolesville; former husband, Dr. Joseph A. Kulick; and by her sister, Rita Coffey of Lexington, Va. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynda Kathryn Kulick Swaim.

Burdette Daniel “Mick” Parker
Burdette Daniel “Mick” Parker, 89, of Wake Forest, died on June 2, 2010, at his home.
Mr. Parker was born in Elkhart, Indiana, the son of the late Daniel A. Parker and Inez Helvie Parker. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, having served in WWII.
Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, June 7, 2010, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Hollowell officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Parker is survived by his children, James “Danny” Parker and wife, Brenda, of Durham, Donna Parker Crutchfield of Durham, Alan B. Parker of Belgrade, Montana, and Stanley M. Parker and wife, Carol of Creedmoor; sister, Willa Parker Yoder of Michigan; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, A. Ruth Parker, and by his siblings, Monroe Parker, Bracey Frye, Hortence Frye and Delois Parker.
Pallbearers were Kevin Morley, Dace Bergen, Rodney Jones, Travis Parker, Stephen Parker and Travis Thompson.

Robert “Bob” Carabba
Robert “Bob” Carabba, 62, of Wake Forest, died Wednesday, June 2, 2010.
He was born in Gardner, Massachusetts, the son of the late Rita LaBonte Carabba and Alberto Giovanni Carabba. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps from 1967-1973 and served in Vietnam. He was employed as a customer service representative at Lowes Home Improvement in North Raleigh.
A memorial service honoring his life will be held at 5 o’clock Saturday afternoon, June 12, 2010, at the home of Craig Fulks, 3625 Medlin Woods Road, Wake Forest.
Bob is survived by his son, Anthony “Tony” Carabba of Wilmington; a sister, Audrey Carabba; and brothers, John Carabba, Bruce LaRoche and Bryan Garvick.
