Sara Keel Fort
Sara Keel Fort, 94, of Wake Forest died Monday May 31, 2010, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Ruth Daniel Keel and John C. Keel and was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Fort.
A graveside funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday June 4, 2010, at Forestville Baptist Church Cemetery with Chaplain Dale Mead officiating.
Mrs. Fort is survived by her daughters, Carol F. Potter of Wake Forest, Sarah F. Wall and husband, Michael, of Raleigh; grandchildren, Sarah P. Willis and husband, Darren, Frank H. Potter and Melanie, Lindsey C. Wall and Adam D. Wall; and great grandchildren, Anna and Alex Willis.

Richard C. Sharpe
Richard C. Sharpe, 81, of Youngsville passed away May 31, 2010, after a prolonged illness.
He was the son of the late Preto Capps Sharpe and Arthur Dean Sharpe, and he is preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Sharpe and Ben Sharpe, and sisters, Jeannette Bryant and Geraldine Allen.
After an illustrious career in textiles, Richard retired as a chemist from Burlington Industries and continued as a consultant in the industry. He was a loving and devoted father, husband, brother and friend who enjoyed golf and photography, and passed on his enthusiasm for life to everyone who knew him. Richard was a member of the National Guard and the American Textile Colorist & Chemist Associatio, which enabled him to travel worldwide.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.
Richard leaves behind his devoted and loving wife of 57 years Irene; sons, Tony Sharpe and wife, Dee, and Jeff Sharpe; daughters, Sandi Barbour and husband, David, Lisa Liles and husband, Anthony, Kristi Baker and husband, Larry; brothers, Jimmy Sharpe and wife, Doris, and Larry Sharpe and wife, Bonnie; and sisters, Kay Black and Edna Trull and husband, Stacy.
Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

Christine U. Scoggins
Christine Upchurch Scoggins, 83, of Knightdale, died peacefully in her home on Thursday, May 27, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Scoggins.
Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon, May 30, 2010, at Faith Baptist Church in Youngsville. Burial was in Morrisville Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Scoggins is survived by her daughter, Debbie Richardson and husband, Mike, of Youngsville; sons, Mike Scoggins and wife, Susan, of Raleigh, Glenn Scoggins of Raleigh, Ronnie Scoggins of Bunn and Tommy Scoggins and wife, Sherry, of Wendell; brothers, Franklin Upchurch of Morrisville and George Upchurch of California; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society for the Franklin County Relay for Life, 4093 NC 98 West, Youngsville, NC 27596.
Pallbearers were Rick Scoggins, Andy Scoggins, David Scoggins, Joseph Scoggins, Stephen Scoggins, Ryan Scoggins, Eric Scoggins and Darrell Scoggins.

Ronald Alan Norman
Ronald Alan Norman, 60, of Youngsville, died Thursday May 27, 2010, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Louisville, Georgia, the son of the late Barbara Parker Norman.
Ron attended the University of Georgia, earning a master’s degree. He was a kind and gentle man who loved his family, friends and animals, especially cats. Ron was very personable and intelligent. He was a friend to all who crossed his path. He never took anything for granted. One of his lifelong dreams was to own a hardware store. He will be missed dearly by all.
A memorial service honoring his life will be held at 11 o’clock Friday morning, June 4, 2010, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Father Philip Tighe officiating.
Ron is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary Margaret Norman; nieces, Lauren Kreutz, Jennifer Rendon and a grandniece, Sadie Kreutz; grandnephews, Mikey, Tony and Will Rendon; and brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Lisa Girvin.

Lillian K. Warren
Lillian K. Warren, 77, of 1343 Legacy Green Avenue, Wake Forest, died May 26, 2010,at her home.
Mrs. Warren was born on November 4, 1932, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Anna and John VonAhnen. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church, Bayshore, New York.
Funeral services were held at 11 o’clock Saturday morning, May 29, 2010, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with Pastor Tab Cosgrove officiating.
Mrs. Warren is survived by her children, Kathleen Kalhl of Wake Forest, William T. “Bill” Warren and wife, Michelle, of Wake Forest, Susan Yannetti and husband, Vincent, of Youngsville, Patricia Blydenburgh and husband, Michael, of Clayton and Thomas Warren and wife, Gloria, of Clayton; grandchildren, Samantha, Douglas, Adam, Amanda, John, Sean and Tyler; and sister, Margie Hoffman of Raleigh. She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy William Warren, and by her sister, Anne Marie VonAhnen.

Leon Byczkowski
Leon Byczkowski, 73, of Wake Forest, died on May 25, 2010. He was born on May 10, 1937 in Belarus to the late Serge Byczkowski and Pauline Lazitchky Byczkowski.
Funeral services were held at 11 o’clock Friday morning, May 28, 2010 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with Father Nicholas Sorenson officiating. Burial was in the Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Byczkowski is survived by his wife, Sonia Byczkowski of Wake Forest; four children, Michael Byczkowski, Vera Nebel, Elizabeth Chappell and Pauline Post; seven grandchildren.

Pauline M. Alapeck
Pauline M. Alapeck, 85, of Raleigh, North Carolina, formerly of Binghamton, New York, died peacefully in her home on May 25, 2010. She is married to Louis J. Alapeck, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Carl Gilmore; her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Joyce Alapeck; grandchildren, Shannon Collett, Audra Phalen and husband, Colin Phalen and Alyssa Snieska; sisters, Carmella Archer, Anna Amato and Shirley Panetta; brothers, Patrick Amato and Lucian Amato; many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two grand-dogs, who will miss her companionship and love.
