Robin Stephenson Short
Robin Stephenson Short, 54, of Wake Forest, died Wednesday morning, March 31, 2010, at her residence. She was born at Shawfield AFB in Sumter, S.C., the daughter of Rosalyn Parrott Stephenson and the late Alton R. Stephenson.
Robin graduated from James Madison University in 1978. She was a member of St. Philip Lutheran Church in Raleigh and was employed by Southlight Corporation in Raleigh as a Human Resource Director.
A memorial service honoring her life was held at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon April 3, 2010, at St. Philip Lutheran Church in Raleigh with Pastor Diane Amidon officiating.
Robin is survived by her husband, Jim Short; daughters, Kelly Rowland and husband, Michael, of Lawrence, Kan., and Lyndsay Ponce and husband, Michael, of Wake Forest; her mother, Rosalyn Stephenson of Manassas, Va.; and sister, Laura Morton and husband, Zinn, of Woodbridge, Va.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607 or to Safe Haven for Cats, 8431 Garvey Drive, Raleigh, NC 27616 or to St. Philip Lutheran Church.

Joseph D. “Joey” Pepe
Joseph David “Joey” Pepe, 49, of Raleigh, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Wake Medical Center. He was born in New Jersey and was a Registered Nurse.
A memorial service was held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, April 5, 2010, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3120 New Hope Road in Raleigh, with the Rev. David Huffman officiating.
Joey is survived by his wife, Muriel Pepe; daughters, Stephanie Pepe and Kristy Pepe; parents, Terry and Joe Pepe of Nutley, N.J., sister, Joan DeBarbieri of Bloomfield, N.J.; brother, John Pepe of Manville, N.J.; granddaughter, Serinity Barnes; son-in-law, Joseph Barnes; and beloved mother-in-law and father-in-law, Beverly and Ted Faasse of Wake Forest.

Charles William Holmes

Charles William Holmes, 82, of Louisburg, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Louisburg Nursing Center. He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Mattie Leigh Pergerson Holmes and Alvah Grady Holmes.
Mr. Holmes was retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He is preceded in death by his brothers, George Holmes and Wallace Holmes, and by a sister, Helen Lawson.
Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock, Thursday afternoon, April 1, 2010, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Charles Johnson officiating. Burial was in Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh,
Mr. Holmes is survived by his son, Carl Holmes of Zebulon; step-daughter, Leah Jefferys; sisters, Eveline Medlin of Franklinton and Sylvia Holder of Charlotte; grandchildren, Tabitha Holmes and Christopher Holmes, and three step-grandchildren, Clint Jefferys, Jenny Newman, and Angela Harris.
Pallbearers were Blair Holmes, Wally Holmes, Howell Jones, Norman Pendergraft, Don Pulley, Roy Roper and Clint Jeffreys.
