William K. ‘Bill’ Wilkinson
William K. “Bill” Wilkinson II, 65, of Youngsville, died Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Franklin Regional Hospital. He was born in Akron Ohio, the son of the late Jane R. and William K. Wilkinson and was retired from the State of North Carolina.
A memorial service will be held at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon, March 28, 2010, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Williams officiating.
Mr. Wilkinson is survived by his wife, Beth Wilkinson; daughters, Susie O’Neal and husband, Curtis, of Youngsville and Jane Wilkinson of Arvada, Colo.; grandsons, Eddie Conway, Tommy Conway, and Lee O’Neal; brothers, Jay Wilkinson, Randy Wilkinson, Ric Wilkinson and Alan Wilkinson; step-mother, Tineke Wilkinson; and many nieces and nephews.

Anthony La Rocca
Anthony La Rocca 67, of Youngsville, formerly of Syracuse, N.Y., died Sunday morning after a long illness. He was originally from Fondi, Italy.
Mr. La Rocca is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Carol (Compitello) La Rocca; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Suzanne La Rocca and Christopher and Lani La Rocca; son, Scott La Rocca; four grandchildren, Alexandra, Connor, Anderson and Braeden; sister-in-law, Linda Spillett; and two nieces, Kerry and Lisa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 o’clock Thursday morning, March 25, 2010, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Philip Tighe officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Regional Oncology Center, c/o Dr. Jonathan Wright, MD, 750 East Adams Street, Syracuse, NY 13210-2342.

Roger Dale Lancaster
Roger Dale Lancaster, 56, of Clayton, died Saturday morning at Rex Hospital. He was born in Wake County, the son of the late George Raymond Lancaster and Katherine Vick Lancaster.
Roger loved playing softball, fishing, hunting and loving his four cats. He retired from WATCO Corporation in Garner after 31 years of service.
A memorial service honoring his life was held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, March 22, 2010, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Myrick officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia “Cindy” Penny Lancaster; children, Holly Lancaster of Columbia, S.C., and Josh Lancaster of Creedmoor; sisters, Carol Ann of Zebulon and Brenda Gayle of Florida; brothers, Ray Lancaster of Apex and Gerald Lancaster of Arkansas; mother-in-law, Kathryn Penny and husband, William Houston, of Rolesville; and three grandchildren, Mason, Austin and Alyssa. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, George Franklin Penny.

Danny Ray Perry
Danny Ray Perry, 45, of Zebulon, died, Friday March 19, 2010. He was born in Baltimore, Md., the son of Claude Vernon Perry and the late Janie May Ellington Perry.
A memorial service was held at 11 o’clock Tuesday morning, March 23, 2010, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Carol Dean officiating.
Danny is survived by his daughter, Laura Gray Perry of Henderson; his son, Trey Perry of Raleigh; father, Claude Vernon Perry (Phyllis) of Zebulon; parents, Roxie B. and J. Robert Kearney of Kittrell; sister, Cheryl Lynn Leonard of Wilmington; brother, Wayne Perry (Marsha) of Zebulon; and sisters, Jo Lynn Kearney of Epsom, Jamie Kearney of Wake Forest, Terry Cobb and Carolyn Robinson of Henderson and Donna Penny of Kittrell.

Cameron W. Lee Sr.
Cameron Waddell Lee Sr., 95, of 205 West Sycamore Avenue, Wake Forest, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at his home.
He was born in Buncombe County, the son of the late Mabel Robinson Lee and Ralph E. Lee, and was a 1935 graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Civil Engineering.
After graduating he began his career with the North Carolina Department of Transportation. In 1942 he volunteered for the United States Navy during WWII. After the war he returned to his job with the DOT and remained active in the Naval Reserve. After the Korean Conflict began he was again called to serve his country. During this time he was awarded the Legion of Merit, the highest non-combat medal. After serving in Korea he returned to his career with the DOT where he retired in 1969 as Chief Engineer and Assistant Highway Administrator. After he retired from the DOT, Mr. Lee served as Executive Director of the Carolinas Branch of the Associated General Contractors (AGC). Mr. Lee was a member of Wake Forest Baptist Church for over 40 years.
Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon, March 21, 2010, at Wake Forest Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Bill Slater, Rev. Dr. Tom Jackson and Rev. Bruce Copeland officiating. Burial was in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens with military honors.
Mr. Lee is survived by his sons, Cameron W. Lee Jr. and wife, Emily, of Wallace, Eddie Lee and wife, Debbie, of Wake Forest, David Lee and wife, Sandy, of Salisbury and Richard Lee and wife, Lee, of Myrtle Beach, S.C; grandchildren, Todd Lee and wife, Kelly, of Alexandria, Va., Katie Lee of Portland, Ore., Cameron C. Lee of Wilmington, Kathryn Lee Penegar and husband, Tre, of Wilmington, Jordan Lee and Kristen Lee, both of Wake Forest; great-granddaughter, Gracie Lee of Alexandria, Va.; brother, Ralph E. Lee Jr. and wife, Virginia, of Sumter, S.C.; sisters-in-law, Jane Lee of Columbia, S.C., and Eleanor Taylor of Spartanburg, S.C.; and brother-in-law, Harold Lawhon of Union, S.C. Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Lawhon Lee, in 2002 and brother, Charles E. Lee of Columbia, S.C., in 2008.

Jacqueline S. Post
Jacqueline Shorrock Post, 81, formerly of Rolesville, passed away on March 22, 2010, at Newton Memorial Hospital in Newton, N.J. Prior to moving to Oak Ridge, N.J., in 2008, she lived in Rolesville.
Mrs. Post was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas B. Post, in 1995 and by her son, William J. Post, in January 2010. She is survived by a sister, Charlotte Gaylor of Port Orange, Fla.; her daughter Kathleen, and her husband, Richard Liptak, of Oak Ridge, N.J.; her sons, Robert and his wife, Sandy Post, of Emerald Isle, James and his wife, Sandy L. Post, of Emerald Isle, Thomas and his wife, Denise Post, of Wake Forest; and a daughter-in-law, Mary, of Emerald Isle. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A private funeral will be held by the family.

Donald W. Gooch
Donald Wayne “Donnie” Gooch, 68, of 3128 Bruce Garner Road, Creedmoor, died Monday evening, March 22, 2010, at Duke University Medical Center. He was born in Granville County, the son of the late Mae Wheeler Gooch and Donald M. Gooch.
He was a member of Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church and was an electrician.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock Thursday morning, March 25, 2010, at Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Al Thomas and the Rev. Ray Gooch officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Gooch is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty Gooch; daughters, Nanette O’Neal and husband, Barry, of Creedmoor and Lynn Hall and fiancé, Darryl Jones, of Creedmoor; son, Darrell Gooch of Creedmoor; grandchildren, Brad O’Neal, Dylan O’Neal, Miranda Gooch, Cheyenne Gooch, Bayle Hall, Mike Hall Jr., Travis Jones, Houston Jones, Hannah Jones and Rachel Jones.
