Pearl Frances Huston
Pearl Frances Huston, 65, of 1013 NC Hwy 96E, Youngsville, died Sunday morning, December 13, 2009, surrounded by her devoted family.
he was born in Hillside, Maryland, the daughter of the late Susie Anderson Huston and Robert Huston. Mrs. Huston was retired from the Census Bureau as a statistician.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o’clock Thursday afternoon, December 17, 2009, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Lowell Wayne Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Huston is survived by her husband, Joseph Gwyn Windsor; children, Deborah Ann Wells, Mary Sue Meadows, Frances Ann Smith and Ed Meadows; step-children, Terry Irving and the late Connie Howard; grandchildren, Merrill Wells III, Christina Perdue, Teddy Smith, Samantha Howard, Brittany Wells, Amanda Smith, Mark Smith, Jordan Fronck, Cameron Fronck, Ann Irving and Dallas Meadows; and great-grandchildren Melanie Dawson, Shawn Dawson and Mason Wells.
Friends may visit with the family from 1:40 to 3 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest.
Lt. Harry Philip “Flip” Kissinger VI
Lieutenant Harry Philip “Flip” Kissinger VI, 35, of Wake Forest died Friday, December 11, 2009, surrounded by his family while at Wake Med.
He was born in Jacksonville, Florida, the son of Phil and Sheri Kissinger. At age 4, his family moved to Kingsport, Tennessee, then at age 9 they settled in Raleigh. Flip was a 1992 graduate of Friendship Christian School in Raleigh. He completed his certifications for Fire Officer Level I, Fire Officer Level II, and Certified Instructor Level I. He had qualified for the department’s Captain test and was scheduled to take it this week.
Flip was a big, strong, handsome family man and a remarkable friend. He was a dedicated son, amazing husband, and loving father. He was a loyal friend that never met a stranger. Flip was dedicated to his career as a City of Raleigh firefighter. At the station he was known to his brother firefighters as something of a prankster and inevitably could make you laugh after a long, tough call. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh and beautiful smile. He was a member of Richland Creek Community Church in Wake Forest. Flip loved the Lord and grew to be a servant for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. “Greater love hath no man than this, (to be willing) to lay down his life for friends” John 15:13.
Funeral services were held at 1 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, December 16, 2009, at Richland Creek Community Church on Burlington Mill Road. Burial was in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.
Flip is survived by his wife, Jill, and two beautiful daughters, Hannah, 9, and Abigail, 3. He is also survived by his parents, Phil and Sheri Kissinger of Wake Forest; in-laws, Larry and Diana Parker of LaCrosse, Va.; brother-in-law, Jay Parker of Chase City, Va.; paternal grandparents, Phil and Gloria Kissinger; uncles, Jim Kissinger, John Kissinger, David Kissinger, Maurice Adkins; and aunt, Justina Mullinnex. Flip was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mike and Jackie Adkins.
Anyone wishing to make a donation to the Kissinger family can go to any First Citizens Bank and ask to make a donation to the “Kissinger Family Care Fund.” The Kissinger family will be the sole beneficiary of all proceeds.

Fr. James G. ‘Jim’ Dull
The Reverend James G. “Jim” Dull, 62, died Friday, December 11, 2009, at Rex Hospital following a brief 12-day illness.
Jim was born January 20, 1947, in Passaic, New Jersey, the son of the late Gertrude Honor Dull and James Dull Sr. He graduated in 1964 from St. Mary’s Grammar and High School in Rutherford, N.J., and attended Bordentown Military Institute in Bordentown, N.J., following high school where he won Cadet of the Year Honors in 1965. Father Dull was a 1969 graduate of Seaton Hall University (Divinity School) and did Theological Studies at Immaculate Conception Seminary in Darlington, N.J. He was ordained a Roman Catholic Priest for the Archdiocese of Newark, N.J., at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Newark on May 26, 1973, and received his M.A. from Seton Hall University on May 15, 1976. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Father Dull served at St. Mary’s in Nutley, N.J., Oratory Prep School in Summit, N.J., and Our Lady of Libera in West New York, N.J. He also served in the Diocese of Trenton, N.J.; St. Justin’s Parish in Toms River, N.J., and St. Pius X Parish in Forked River, N.J. After he was transferred to the Diocese in Raleigh he served briefly at St. Bernadette’s Parish in Fuquay-Varina and was currently parochial Vicar at St. Catherine of Siena in Wake Forest.
Father Dull is survived by his sister, Marya Dull Washington and husband, James; brothers, Carl Dull and wife, Linda, of Rochester Hills, Mich., and John Dull and wife, Helen, of Rutherford, N.J.; his longtime close friend, Rev. Salvatore A. Busichio; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Martin Dull.
A Vigil will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Wake Forest, NC on Tuesday, December 15, 2009, from 7 to 9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge, Bishop of Raleigh, at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Wake Forest on Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. Following the funeral Mass, burial will take place at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton Grove.

Judge G. ‘Jiggs’ Perry
Judge Grady “Jiggs” Perry, 75, of 239 Fish Stallings Road, Youngsville, died Thursday, December 10, 2009, at Rex Hospital.
He was born in Halifax County, the son of the late Snora Frazier Perry and Judge Buck Perry, and was retired from Burlington Mills. Mr. Perry was currently working at Wal-Mart, where he enjoyed meeting people and will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon, December 13, 2009, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Earp and the Rev. Steve Kirk officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Perry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Edith Wood Perry; daughters, Diane Hyde of Franklinton and Sandy Chappell of Youngsville; grandchildren, Lori Hyde of Raleigh, Michael Perry of Greenville and Katie Perry of Zebulon; great-grandchildren, Anastasia Perry, Isaac Gomez, Andrew Gomez and Lana Perry; sister, Ester Preddy of Raleigh; and brother, Donnie Perry of Omaha, Neb.

Benjamin ‘Ben’ McNeal
Benjamin “Ben” Lee McNeal, 21, of 522 Pearce Avenue, Wake Forest, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at Rex Hospital. He was born in Bartow County, Georgia, the son of the late Vickie Gail Hall McNeal and Donald Ray McNeal.
Ben was a 2007 graduate of Franklin Academy in Wake Forest. He grew to be a servant of the Lord God and will be remembered for his charming smile and his kindness to others. His faith in Jesus Christ was evident in his service and walk. He desired to serve others and be a blessing to those around him. Ben fought a courageous battle with ALS. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vickie Hall McNeal, and by his brother, Lance Corporal Daniel McNeal, whose lives were also claimed by this disease.
Ben was the cherished son of Donald and Paula McNeal of Wake Forest; admired grandson of Evelyn Hale of Dothan, Ala., John Hall of Albertville, Ala., and James and Merle McNeal of Buford, Ga.; and doted nephew of aunts and uncles in Georgia, Alabama and California.
Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, December 12, 2009, in the Chapel of Owens Funeral Home in Cartersville, Ga. Burial was in Sunset Memory Gardens. A celebration of his life was held on his birthday, Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at 2 o’clock at Richland Creek Community Church.

Manuel Lopez
Manuel Lopez, 87, of Rolesville, died Saturday morning, December 12, 2009, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Cuba, the son of the late Jose and Isela Dulzaide Lopez. Mr. Lopez was a retired painter.
Graveside funeral services will be held 12 o’clock noon on Tuesday December 15, 2009, at Raleigh Memorial Park in Raleigh.
Mr. Lopez is survived by his sisters, Aida Lopez, Odelta Rojas and Asela Lopez; children, Nelly Carlisle, Zoraida Aleman and Yolanda Gomez; grandchildren, Daniel Carlisle III, Isela Keenan, Rick Cerezo, Margie Smith, Frank Aleman, Rafael Lara, Toni Mirage, Evelyn Ward, Elizabeth Figeura, Arthur Medina, Elie Medina and Roy Medina; great-grandchildren; Jonathon, Tyler, Jessica, Jasmine, Frank Jr., Katie, Brooke, Cynthia Wick, Paul Baker, Glen, Alyssa, Arielle, Nicole, Justin, Sara, Jason, Garrett Kendra, Alex, Christopher and Shelby; and 22 great-grandchildren.
