Milton J. Davis

Milton J. Davis, 47, of Mebane, beloved husband, father, son and brother, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 9, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Wake County on February 14, 1962, and attended Wake County Schools. His love for learning started at a young age and continued throughout his life. He was a master with electric motors, starting his profession at Electric Motor Shop in Wake Forest where he worked for 13 years and later at Triangle Electric in Durham where he worked for 10 years.
Milton will be remembered most for his immense love for his family and his kind and gentle spirit.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon November 12, 2009 at the Sykes Family Cemetery on New Light Road in Wake Forest.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, CarolAnn Edwards Davis; sons, Mason J. Davis and Joey Pope; parents, Judy and Claude “Shank” Davis; grandmother, Cozie Sherron; brothers, Mike Davis and wife, Amy, and their children, Zoe and Trey, and Tony Newcomb and his children, Chris, Billy and Tonya.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mason Davis Education Fund at any State Employees Credit Union.
Friends may visit with the family at the home of his parents, Judy & Shank Davis, 14920 New Light Road, Wake Forest.

Sybil Perry Watkins

Sybil Perry Watkins, 71, of 7032 Fowler Road, Zebulon, died Monday, November 9, 2009, at Duke University Medical Center.
he was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Mack Donald Perry Sr. and Lovie Gladys Robertson Perry, and was retired from the Wake County School System.
Funeral services will be held 1 o’clock Thursday afternoon, November 12, 2009, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Marshall Neathery and the Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Beulah Christian Baptist Church Cemetery.
he is survived by her husband, Jimmy W. Watkins; daughters, Lovie Watkins Rogers and her good friend, Marty Simmons, of Zebulon and his children, Anna and Michael Simmons, and Jamie Watkins Rogers and husband, David, and their son, Lucas, of Wendell; and brothers, Mack D. Perry Jr. of Raleigh and Howard Glenn Perry of Nashville, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her step-mother, Ruby Clark Perry, and by her brother, Everette Gay Perry Sr.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, 8300 Health Park, Suite 10, Raleigh, NC 27615 or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 4330 Bland Road, Raleigh, NC 27604.
Friends may visit with the family from 6 to 8:30PM Wednesday at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 South Main St., Wake Forest.
