Benjamin W. Wheeler
Benjamin Wilson “Bennie” Wheeler, 91, of 166 Douglas Williams Road, Louisburg, died Saturday, October 10, 2009, at Britthaven Nursing Center. He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Annie Wilson Wheeler and Benjamin Wester Wheeler.
Mr. Wheeler was a retired carpenter and farmer and was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church.
Graveside funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday morning, October 13, 2009, at Lancaster Memorial Park.
Mr. Wheeler is survived by his sons, Timothy Wheeler and wife, Joyce, of Black Mountain, Michael Wheeler and wife, Gwen, Wayne Wheeler and wife, Beverly, and Kenneth Wheeler, all of Louisburg; sister, Mae Paschal Knott of Youngsville; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Idalene Murphy Wheeler; his daughter, Barbara Jean Wheeler; his sisters, Catherine Lewis and Mary Stephens; and his brothers, Alvin Wheeler, William Wheeler, Doyt Perry Wheeler and Bruce Wheeler.

Michael Roger Crane
Michael Roger Crane, 58, of 1104 Trammel Court, Wake Forest, died Friday morning October 9, 2009, at his home. He was born in Kalamazoo,
Mr. Crane was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Rocky Mount and was employed with RBC Centura for 25 years, where he was the liaison between the IT Group and Business Group.
A memorial service was held at 4 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, October 13, 2009, at Lakeside Baptist Church, Rocky Mount.
Mr. Crane is survived by his wife of 34 years, Anne Harriman Crane; son, Jeff Crane of Raleigh; daughters, Katie Crane of Raleigh and Emily Crane of Boone; sister, Kathie Shellenbarger and husband, David of Bonita Springs, Florida, and special friends, Bill and Marg Gray of Hustisford, Wisconsin.

Bonita Ann “Bonnie” Nall
Bonita “Bonnie” Nall, 39, of Franklinton, died Wednesday. She was born in Dallion, Louisiana, the daughter of Bonita Gail Morton and Roy Serigny. She worked as an optician.
A memorial service honoring her life was held at 1 o’clock Saturday afternoon October 10, 2009, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home.
he is survived by her husband, David A. Nall Sr.; children, David Nall II, Kimberlynn Nall, Cotie Gaither, Dana Lunas, Cindy Yarborough and David Tevepaugh; mother, Bonita Gail Morton of Zebulon; father, Roy Serigny of Louisiana; sister, Tammy Serigny; two grandchildren, Jasma Lunas and Jacob Yarborough; and special friend, Kevin Pepperdene.

Allenne Simmons Merrill, 79, of 127 Weston Road, Garner, died Thursday morning October 8, 2009, at Sunnybrook Healthcare. She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Gladys Williams Simmons and Edgar Otis Simmons.

Mrs. Merrill survived by her daughters, Judy Bell and husband, Earl, of Franklinton, Portia Tant and husband, Johnny, of Oxford and Sandra Medlin of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Earl Bell Jr. of Greensboro, Ricky Bell and wife, Kelly, of Youngsville, Sherry Lane Tant of Henderson and Christopher Mack Tant of Warrenton; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
