Tri-Area Ministry will no longer accept clothes, toys or appliances, a spokesperson said this week, but the ministry on East Holding Avenue does still need food and money to help meet the needs of all the hungry and out-of-work families in the area.
The ministry has received a lot of food and donations recently between a food drive sponsored by Fidelity Bank and an article in The Wake Weekly, but the need continues.
The spokesperson said donated clothes, toys and appliances require a lot of volunteer time and effort. Often they are the unsold items from a yard sale.
You will find Tri-Area Ministries on East Holding between the CSX railroad line and South White Street. It is partly supported by churches in Rolesville, Youngsville, Wake Forest and the area around the three towns. It is nonprofit and donations are tax-deductible.
