How has downtown changed? Picture it this spring.
Last year a number of camera-clicking volunteers swept through downtown Wake Forest, taking photographs of things they liked and disliked, everything from trash to well-designed window displays, and adding comments.
Now it is time for the Downtown Revitalization Corporation to follow up, to see what has changed, how things have improved or become worse. For that, Director Maggie O’Neill and staff members Nancy Tebeau and Bess Martinson need volunteers who will organize the comments and take follow-up pictures. The volunteers can work either in the DRC office or at home. Call 570-1372 if you are interested.
Also, the DRC Marketing and Promotions Committee will be providing welcome boxes for area apartments and rental agencies. Please send O’Neill an e-mail, maggie@wakeforestdowntown.com if you can go to the DRC office Tuesday, June 2, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or Wednesday, June 3, from 3 to 7 p.m.
