Need some relief from the heat or a fun night out with the children?
          You will find both Saturday night, Aug. 14, at the East End Neighborhood Block Party in the new Taylor Street Park and Alston-Massenburg Center where East Juniper and North Taylor meet.
          There will be games and activities, free food, fellowship and information about a number of services, plans and programs.
          The event will take place from 4 p.m. until dusk.
          Some of the organizations which will have booths and information at the block party include the East End Community Association, Assurance Wireless, the town’s planning and recreation departments, Wake Forest D.A.R.E., the W.E.B. DuBois CDC, CANCA, Sisters Without Boundaries, the Kerr Family YMCA, and the Wake Forest Historical Association.
