The 20th annual HerbFest began last Friday and will run through Sunday.
Education, live music, gardening, plants of all descriptions, wine, crafts, food, and fun will all be on tap from Friday, April 17, through Sunday, April 26, at this year’s HerbFest in Festival Park on South White Street.
There will be a variety of food vendors. Also, the beer wagon furnished by Harris Wholesalers will feature beers by Lone Rider Brewery, Shotgun Betty and Dead-Eye Jack.
Alissa Bierma, the Upper Neuse Riverkeeper, will be one of the featured speakers for the educational presentations during the week. Carol Randaci will talk about Chinese medicine and garden feng shui, Elizabeth Johnson will discuss terrariums, Marilyn Grolitzer will offer tips on water gardening and Reiki healing and Dr. Milton Ganyard will discuss no-till gardening.
