Published Mar 10, 2010

Art After Hours, Wake Forest’s monthly evening stroll through the historic downtown, is offering food and fun for everyone from 5 to 9 this Friday.
Along with the free horse and carriage rides provided by the Downtown Revitalization Corporation, visitors will find artist receptions, live music, art, food and wine tastings throughout downtown in the following ten stores and studios.
The Cotton Company will hold a reception to feature metalsmith Tara Fritz and will have a wine tasting.
For Old Times Sake will offer refreshments and special activities.
At The Lemon Tree you will find Levi Linville who plays “smooth acoustic jazz and folk drizzled with a little classic rock and served with enthusiasm.”
GC5 Vintage and Gifts will host a reception for artist Zach Horn.
Carole Stroud of That’s Purrfect will show her handmade kiln-fired glass jewelry at Next Consignment Boutique.
Almost next door there will be live music, outdoors if the weather permits, at Wake Forest Coffee Company.
Upstairs, Twisted Vines will showcase some special wines.
Sprig will feature wine and cheese.
Photographers Mark and Kathi Haynes will be the featured artists at the Sunflower Studio where you will also find refreshments.
At Wake Forest Art and Frame there will be two artists. John Peterson is a potter specializing in mochaware, and Ed Hardy is a painter. There will also be refreshments.
Suzanne Galant Thomas’s Southwest Landscapes series will be featured at Tuxedo Junction.
Shop, look, sip, nibble, purchase and then end the evening with dinner at one of the downtown restaurants. You will find them listed on a restaurant guide provided by the DRC.
