DuBois alumni from all over North Carolina and the other states will again gather in Wake Forest on Labor Day weekend to celebrate and remember their school and their friends.
The long weekend for the National Alumni Association of DuBois High School will begin Friday, Sept. 3, with a meet-and-greet social hour at the Wake Forest Community House from 6 to 10 p.m. for alumni, their families, their friends and their supporters. The cost is $15.
The general membership meeting will be held Saturday morning on the historic DuBois campus.
The celebration will end Sunday, Sept. 5, with a 3 p.m. vesper service at Corinth Christian Church, 7900 Zebulon Road, N.C. 96, Youngsville. The service will feature a mini-concert with performances by tenor LeMonte Mitchell, harpist Nia Imani Williams, mezzo-soprano Wynnette Williams, and violinist/pianist Victoria Jones.
“The association is positioned to begin the work of restoring the historic DuBois Campus as a community resource that will benefit not only the alumni but the community as a whole,” Alumni President Dianne Laws said. “The Association encourages all alumni, friends, and supporters to attend the reunion activities.”
