Come see the scenes of Wake Forest.
Sunday, May 17, will be the final day for the art show and sale celebrating Wake Forest’s 100 years, “Centennial Images.”
The paintings, drawings and art works are on exhibit at the Power-Ludas House at 112 North Avenue, the gray house immediately behind the brick building that formerly house The Corner Ice Cream Shop. The exhibit hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday are noon to 4 p.m. each day with special showings by appointment.
The heart of the show is the works 20 area artists generously donated to the Centennial book, Connections . . . 100 Years of Wake Forest History, but those artists and others have added drawings, paintings and art work relating to the town.
Some of the works have been purchased, but a number are still for sale.
The exhibit is sponsored by Wine 101, the Sunflower Studio & Gallery and the Forensic Press owned by Marty and Debbie Ludas, who also own the gray house. Part of the charm of the exhibit is to also see the renovations they have done in the house and the new garden.
The exhibit is free. For more information, about the exhibit call Kara Louise at 761-3021, klouise@wakeforestnc.gov.
