There will soon be two vacancies in the small three-storefront building at 103-107 South White Street owned by Bob and Elizabeth Johnson’s company, Cameron Park Botanicals.
Elizabeth’s Treasures, operated by Elizabeth and Neal Newhouse of Wake Forest, will move from 107 South White Street to a location on the north side of Raleigh. The store will continue to offer home and garden décor at its new location at Quality Construction Products, a building on Old Wake Forest Road just past Big Lots and next to Moto Max. The Wake Forest store will close at the end of January and will hold a grand opening at the new location just off Capital Boulevard beginning March 1. Many area people are familiar with Elizabeth’s decorating style from the several times the couple has opened their gardens on North White Street for tours.
Wake Forest Yoga plans to move from 103 South White into a second floor suite in the building called 900 Franklin Center, which is at the intersection of Franklin Street and the Dr. Calvin Jones Highway (N.C. 98 bypass). Paul Eitel of Focus Design Builders and Matt Hale of Hale Architecture, both Wake Forest firms, are managing the construction.
The building, which had previously leased space, has now been converted to condominium space. Allied Rehab and the Village Pharmacy are the current tenants, and there are reportedly negotiations underway with a potential fourth tenant. The building has four suites.
The Storyteller’s Book Store is also moving from its original location on Roosevelt Avenue tucked in next to the Underpass to 158 South White Street next to the Wake Forest Coffee Company.
The bookstore will reopen on Feb. 1 and hold a grand opening celebration from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, during Art After Hours.
There will also be new store hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
