A meat market, a flower market, a . . .

News from the market

Did you know you could buy locally raised beef, pork, chicken, lamb, duck, turkey and rabbit at the Wake Forest Farmers’ Market?
Have you decorated your home with the beautiful cut flowers and dried wreaths from the market? Or created a garden with the plants several vendors offer?
Does the news about the contaminated eggs distress you? Be sure your eggs are free from contamination, almost roost-fresh and laid by free-range chickens by buying them at the market.
Saturday the market will be open from 8 a.m. to noon in the depot parking lot, and the group Dry Bread Road will provide the music while you shop.
You will find cheese, breads and baked goods, honey, garlic, fresh herbs, pottery, sunbonnets, jewelry, and fine art along with fresh in-season fruits and vegetables.
You can find information about the various vendors and the future special events at www.wakeforestmarket.org or by calling 556-2284 or 5561679.
