          The Wake Forest Farmers’ Market will offer seasonal vegetables, meats, crafts, and baked goods from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 16, in the gazebo parking lot on South White Street.

          The Wake Forest Youth Advisory Board will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 16, at the Flaherty Park Community Center.

          Six Sundays in Spring will continue Sunday, May 17, in Holding Park next to the Community House. If there is rain or bad weather, you will find the free family-friendly concert at the Festival Park warehouse, 527 S. White St.

          The second Historic Downtown Wake Forest Criterium will be held Sunday, May 17, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The bike races sponsored by the Raleigh All-Star Cycling Team will benefit the Wake Forest Boys and Girls Club.

          A Bicycle Safety Fair will be held Sunday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Renaissance Place, the former Wake Forest Plaza, at the corner of East Elm Avenue and Brooks Street. It is designed to teach safe bicycle riding skills to children from 5 to 14 and their parents.

          The Wake Forest Historical Association will meet Sunday, May 17, at 3 p.m. in the Community House where Wake Forest Planner Agnes Wanman will give a PowerPoint presentation about the local buildings on the National Register of Historic Places. The public is welcome at this free event. There will be light refreshments.

          The Wake Forest Board of Commissioners will hold its regular business meeting Tuesday, May 19, beginning at 7 p.m. in town hall.
