                The Wake Forest Planning and Town boards will hold a joint public hearing Tuesday, Jan. 5, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in town hall, and the planning board will consider that request and other matters after the hearing.

                The Wake Forest Town Board will hold its annual planning retreat Friday, Jan. 8, and continue it Saturday, Jan. 9, if needed. The retreat will be held in a seminary building from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a lunch break from noon to 1 p.m. Call Town Clerk Deeda Harris at 554-6190 if you want to attend.

                The sixteenth annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration will be held Thursday, Jan. 21, beginning with a light supper at 6 p.m. at Friendship Chapel Baptist Church. Everyone is invited to the free event.
