The Wake Forest Farmers’ Market will offer seasonal vegetables, meats, crafts, and baked goods from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 1, in the depot parking lot on South White Street.

The first event in Wake Forest’s newest park, the E. Carroll Joyner Park on Harris Road, will be a Concert in the Park on Sunday, Aug. 2, featuring the Big Fat Gap Band. Turn out at 5 p.m. to tap your feet for two hours to back porch-style bluegrass. The concert is free.
