The Wake Forest Farmers’ Market will offer seasonal vegetables, meats, crafts, and baked goods from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 18, in the depot parking lot on South White Street.

The Wake Forest Town Board will meet Tuesday, July 21, at 7 p.m. in town hall. The meeting is open to the public and televised live on Channel 10.

The first event in Wake Forest’s newest park, the E. Carroll Joyner Park on Harris Road, will be a Concert in the Park on Sunday, Aug. 2, featuring the Big Fat Gap Band. Turn out at 5 p.m. to tap your feet for two hours to back porch-style bluegrass. The concert is free.

Join the officers of the Wake Forest Police Department in celebrating National Night Out Tuesday, Aug. 4, with family activities and fun in front of SuperTarget on Retail Drive from 5 to 9 p.m.

Curtis Harrison will relate the history of the Stony Hill Community. Louis Jackson will provide the displays and arrangements. The meeting is free and open to everyone.
