Friday night, July 10, Wake Forest’s historic downtown will be hopping as visitors arrive for Art After Hours from 5 to 9 p.m. with carriage rides, music, receptions and refreshments in the studios and stores open all along South White Street.

The Wake Forest Farmers’ Market will offer seasonal vegetables, meats, crafts, and baked goods from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 11, in the depot parking lot on South White Street.

The Wake Forest Town Board will hold its annual mid-year retreat Friday, Aug. 21, beginning at noon. The place will be announced later.

The B.W. Wells Association’s annual meeting will be held Sunday, Sept. 20, at Rockcliff Farm.

The fall quarterly meeting of the Wake Forest Historical Association will be Sunday, Sept. 27, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Stony Hill Family Life Center. Curtis Harrison will relate the history of the Stony Hill Community. Louis Jackson will provide the displays and arrangements. The meeting is free and open to everyone.

The voters in school board District 1 will elect a new board member on Tuesday, Oct. 6.

The Autumn Arts Festival will be held in downtown Wake Forest Saturday, Oct. 10.

Wake Forest voters will elect a mayor and two commissioners Tuesday, Nov. 3.
