Friday night, July 3, Wake Forest’s Centennial Fourth of July Celebration begins with food, drink, entertainment and an eye-popping array of fireworks. The gate at Trentini Stadium opens at 5 p.m.

The Fourth fun continues Saturday morning and into the afternoon with the children’s parade that begins on North Main Street at 10:30 a.m. and continues with Art-in-the-Park and Games-in-the-Park immediately afterward. See the article in this week’s Gazette for the details.

Meanwhile, the Wake Forest Farmers’ Market will offer seasonal vegetables, meats, crafts, and baked goods from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 4, in the depot parking lot on South White Street.
