          There will be a public meeting Thursday, June 4, at 7 p.m. in the Northern Regional Center on East Holding Avenue for information and comments about a proposed multi-purpose trail along the future high-speed rail line through the area.

          The Wake Forest Farmers’ Market will offer seasonal vegetables, meats, crafts, and baked goods from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 6, in the gazebo parking lot on South White Street.

          The Grass Cats, a bluegrass group, will be the performers at a free concert in Holding Park Sunday, June 7, from 3 to 5 p.m. People are invited to bring a picnic and a blanket and enjoy the music.

          The Wake Forest Urban Forestry Advisory Board will meet Monday, June 8, at 7 p.m. in the Planning Annex on Brooks Street.

          The Wake Forest Historic Preservation Commission will meet Wednesday, June 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the Planning Annex on Brooks Street.

          Enjoy a night on the town Friday, June 12, from 5 to 9 p.m. for Art After Hours when shops and studios remain open late and plan special receptions for artists. The DRC provides free horse and carriage rides, and the streets are filled with music.
